Biography

Born and raised in Venezuela, Marah discovered her passion for the arts at a young age. Her mother’s enthusiasm for all art forms landed her in music lessons, ballet academy and art classes.  Once in college, Marah focused in visual arts and received a BFA in ceramics from the University of Florida in 2012.  Upon graduation she accepted a long term internship at Baltimore Clayworks, where she worked with the online gallery and development department.

Marah has exhibited her work nationally including, The Morean Arts Center in Florida, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art in Louisiana, Baltimore Clayworks in Maryland and The Clay Studio in Pennsylvania.  In 2013, her work was published in 500 Teapots, Volume 2 by Larks Craft of Sterling Publishing.

Marah has taught clay classes to both children and adults in museums, summer camps, community recreation centers and clay centers since 2013. She began working with Arts for Learning in 2014, where she has brought clay to children in PreK-8th grade. Marah is currently a member of The Ceramic League of Miami where she teaches classes and holds her studio practice in Miami, FL
